Privacy, plainly stated

Privacy Policy

Effective July 28, 2026

Visio Divina is a quiet practice. We believe its approach to your information should be just as clear and considered.

The short version

  • You can use the core app without creating an account.
  • An optional account lets you sync progress and saved content across devices, comment, and use account-linked purchase features.
  • Comments and replies are public. Your email address is not.
  • We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
  • You can delete your Visio Divina account within the app.

Visio Divina is provided by Lumica Labs LLC (“Lumica Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Visio Divina mobile app, visit bibleartpuzzle.com, or contact us.

Information we collect

Account information

If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an account identifier from that provider. Depending on the provider and the choices you make, we may also receive your name or display name, email address—including an Apple private relay address if you use Hide My Email—and profile image.

We use Firebase Authentication to manage sign-in. We do not receive your Apple or Google password.

Progress and saved content

When you use an account, we store information needed to preserve your experience and sync it across devices, including:

  • Which artworks you completed and when
  • Daily check-ins, including the date, artwork, and whether it was solved or revisited
  • Journeys you started
  • Artworks you saved
  • Bible passages you saved, including the book, chapter, verse range, translation, and save time
  • Information needed to maintain your purchase access

If you first use the app without an account and later sign in, eligible progress stored on that device may be merged into your account and uploaded so it can sync.

This information is used to show your history, restore saved content, continue journeys, recognize prior completions, and provide cross-device continuity. Because Visio Divina centers on Scripture, saved passages and devotional activity may reflect religious interests. We use that information only to provide the features you choose—not to advertise to you or build a marketing profile.

Comments and community activity

If you post a comment or reply, we collect the text you submit, its date, the artwork it relates to, and its relationship to any comment you replied to.

Comments and replies are visible to other people using the service. Your display name and profile image may appear beside them. Your email address is not displayed. Please do not include private or sensitive personal information in a public comment.

Purchases and subscriptions

Purchases are processed by the store where you obtained the app—currently Apple’s App Store and, if offered on that platform, Google Play. RevenueCat helps us verify purchases and maintain access.

We may receive:

  • The product purchased
  • Purchase, renewal, expiration, cancellation, refund, or restoration status
  • Transaction and receipt identifiers
  • Your current subscription or entitlement status

We do not receive or store your full payment-card or bank-account details.

Notifications

Notifications are optional. If you enable them, daily devotional reminders may be scheduled locally on your device, and Firebase Cloud Messaging and your device platform may process a notification token and topic-subscription information needed to deliver general new-content or announcement notifications.

You can turn notifications off in Visio Divina’s settings or in your device’s system settings.

Information stored on your device

The app stores information locally so it can work reliably and remember your choices. This may include guest progress, completion history, puzzle settings, Bible-version preferences, recent selections, tutorial state, notification choices, cached app content, and pending changes waiting to sync.

Without an account, progress may remain only on that device and may be lost if the app is removed, its storage is cleared, or the device is lost or reset.

Website, network, and support information

The website does not require an account. We do not use it to serve third-party advertising or build advertising profiles.

When the app or website connects to our services, Cloudflare and other infrastructure providers may process standard technical information needed to deliver and protect the service, such as an IP address, request time, device or browser type, requested page or service endpoint, and security or error signals.

If you contact us, we receive the email address you use, the content of your message, and any attachments or other information you choose to send.

How we use information

We use the information described in this policy to:

  • Create and authenticate optional accounts
  • Sync progress and saved content across devices
  • Display completion history, check-ins, and started journeys
  • Provide saved-artwork and saved-passage features
  • Operate and moderate comments and replies
  • Verify purchases, restore access, and manage entitlements
  • Deliver notifications you choose to receive
  • Respond to support and privacy requests
  • Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and protect the app, website, and related services
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights and safety of users, Lumica Labs, and others

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information as needed to provide the features you request, with your consent where required, for our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, or to comply with law. You may withdraw consent for optional features, such as notifications, at any time.

When information is shared

We share information only as needed to operate the service, fulfill a request you make, or comply with law.

Our principal providers include:

  • Apple and Google, for sign-in, app distribution, purchases, subscription management, and device notification delivery
  • Google Firebase, for authentication and cloud messaging
  • Cloudflare, for website and API delivery, data storage, networking, and security
  • RevenueCat, for purchase verification and subscription-entitlement management

These providers may process limited information necessary to perform their services. When they act on our behalf, they are required to protect personal information consistently with this policy and applicable law, and we do not authorize them to use information we provide for their own advertising. When you interact directly with Apple, Google, or an app store, their own privacy policies also apply.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with a lawful request, protect someone’s safety, investigate fraud or abuse, enforce our terms, or protect our legal rights.

If Lumica Labs is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of the service, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and privacy protections. We will provide notice where required by law.

No sale or third-party advertising

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and Visio Divina does not display third-party advertisements. We do not use your activity to track you across apps or websites operated by other companies for advertising purposes.

Retention

We retain account information, synced progress, saved content, and entitlement information while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service.

Public comments remain available until you delete them, they are removed through moderation, or your account is deleted. When a comment with replies is deleted, a non-identifying placeholder may remain so the conversation still makes sense.

Support correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request, maintain appropriate records, or meet legal obligations.

When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Limited information may be retained longer when reasonably required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or security purposes. This may include:

  • A one-way record of a deleted account identifier solely to honor the deletion and prevent automatic recreation
  • Limited account-unlinked transaction identifiers needed to reconcile purchases or meet legal and accounting obligations
  • Residual copies in routine provider backups until those backups are overwritten under the provider’s normal schedule

Apple and Google retain their own store and transaction records under their respective policies.

Your choices and deletion

You may:

  • Use the core app without creating an account
  • Remove saved artworks or saved passages in the app
  • Delete your own comments
  • Turn notifications off in the app or device settings
  • Sign out of your account
  • Delete your Visio Divina account from Settings → Account → Delete Account
  • Contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of information associated with you

Signing out does not delete your account or remotely synced information. Removing the app from your device also does not delete an account.

Account deletion removes your Visio Divina account and account-linked data from our active systems, including synced progress, completions, check-ins, started journeys, saved artworks, saved passages, and account profile information. Your comments are removed or anonymized. We also initiate deletion of the corresponding Firebase authentication account and RevenueCat subscriber record.

Deleting a Visio Divina account does not delete your Apple or Google account, and it does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. You must manage or cancel the subscription separately through the store to stop future billing.

Account-linked information stored locally on the device is removed as part of account deletion. Device-wide preferences, public-content caches, and notification settings may remain until you clear the app’s data, disable them, or remove the app.

Privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know whether we process information about you
  • Access or receive a copy of that information
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Withdraw consent
  • Appeal a decision about a privacy request
  • Make a complaint to your local data-protection authority

To exercise a right, email help@bibleartpuzzle.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. These rights may be subject to exceptions under applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

International users

Lumica Labs LLC is based in the United States. If you use Visio Divina from another country, information may be processed in the United States and in other locations where our service providers operate.

Privacy laws and protections may differ from those in your country. Where required, we use contractual or other legally recognized safeguards for international transfers.

Children

Visio Divina is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No internet service or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app, website, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated policy at this address and revise the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice where appropriate or required.
